New South Park Episode Takes on NASCAR - With Teaser Video

Being avid fans of South Park here at Carscoop, we couldn't pass up the chance to show you a preview video of tomorrow's [October, 6] mid-season premiere episode of the animated series titled "Poor and Stupid" that takes a humorous stab at the world of NASCAR.

In the teaser after the jump you can watch bad-boy Eric Cartman getting ready to take on the pros at NASCAR with the help of Leopold "Butters" Stotch as his crew chief. "Don't worry, Butters," says Cartman, "I've learned everything I can about being poor and stupid. I'm ready for NASCAR." Ouch...

Vintage Sleeper Caught in Action at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show...

In our 'high-octane' world, the term "sleeper" usually refers to cars that while appearing to be standard, have high-performance capabilities. We're not sure what's hidden underneath the hood err... skin of this fellow journalist (?) that was caught snoozing with his shoes off at a bench somewhere at the Tokyo Motor Show, but it certainly made our day. Feel free to amuse us with your comments after the break.

The Swiss Love Bus: Bernmobil's Airport Bus Theme is a Bit Strange...

We don't know about you, but the first thing that popped into mind upon seeing Bernmobil's airport transporter was a small red bus making some kinky back-door love to a light-blue colored bus. Even though Neue Lgk, the Swiss advertising agency that came up with the idea, probably intended to show a bus 'taking off' for the airport, once you've made the abovementioned association, there's no return ticket from the state of lost innocence...

Spanish Driver Caught Soliciting Barely-Dressed Lady in Google Street View

We'd like to give the driver of this Ford Transit Connect the benefit of the doubt, but somehow we don't think that he stopped to ask the provocatively (un)dressed brunette for directions - that is, unless he meant directions for the delivery of the payload in the 'pantalon' cargo area... This humorous incident was caught by Google's 'Big Brother' street view camera in Madrid, Spain. If you want to take a look around -no need to explain- click through to play with Google's street view gadget.

VIDEO: Jon Stewart's Satirical Take on GM's Bankruptcy

The host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show", Jon Stewart, is one of those comedians you either like or dislike. If you must know, most of the times I find the show amusing. In last night's episode Stewart pointed his satire towards the U.S. government and the 'biG Mess' aka GM's bankruptcy. Among other things, Stewart asked, "as long as the American taxpayers are buying companies like GM, is there any way they could grab a couple of them that make money?". Enjoy the full episode after the jump.

Video: F1 Champ Damon Hill makes Journalist Carsick during Mercedes SL55 AMG Test Drive

Honestly, this has to be one of the funniest, automotive related videos we've seen for quite a while now. In a nutshell, former F1 champion, Damon Hill, took a motoring journalist for a quick spin in a Mercedes SL55 AMG with upsetting results for the reporter's 'tummy'. Don't get us wrong, we feel for the poor journalist and in all fairness, we too might have required a "barfy" pitstop after sitting in the passenger seat with Damon behind the steering wheel, but still, we can't stop laughing! And oh, thumbs up for Hill's closing comment... Video after the jump.

Payback: Cop Busted on Camera without a Front License Plate by the Same Guy he Ticketed!

If the very people who enforce the laws are the same who break them, then something is definitely wrong ... In this video, a guy who received a ticket for not having a front license plate on his car found out that the same police officer that fined him was driving around a Ford Mustang without a front license plate! Dear officer, please practice what you preach... Video after the jump.

Fake Cop in Bogus Accord Police Car Pulls Over Real Cop!

So what are the odds of a guy impersonating a police officer pulling over a motorist for speeding and that driver happens to be and off-duty cop? Well, that one-in-a-million scenario actually occurred when 70-year-old (!) Charles Grubbs driving a black and white Honda Accord (!!!!!!) equipped with front and back flashing lights, a radio antenna and air horn, stopped off-duty officer David Bishop for speeding in Gilbert, Arizona. -Continued

According to Gilbert police Sgt. Mark Marino, when Grubbs got out of his car, the real officer knew he wasn’t legitimate. When Bishop identified himself as an officer the report says that Grubbs went, ‘Oops’. If that’s not priceless we don’t know what is!

SEAT Introduces High Tech Electro-Reflective Paint

Forget about Candy White and Matte Black; the color we’re all going to be hearing about over the next few hours is SEAT’s innovative 'electro reflective' exterior panel finish. The unique paint has been developed in-house by an elite team of technicians at the Spanish manufacturer's Martorell HQ, near Barcelona.

Using complex principles similar to those through which electrochromic (auto dimming) rear view mirrors work, the experts have developed the patented electro reflective finish which constantly adapts to mimic the car's surroundings. Even though SEAT has not disclosed any more information, Carscoop’s sources state that the new electro-reflective paint will be available for order in a year’s time, on April 1, 2009.

Kia KEE_wii Concept with... (April) Fool Proof Wireless Driving System

While most of us thought that we had seen the last of the poorly received KEE Concept Coupe that made its debut in Frankfurt last year, Kia announced today the introduction of a unique development of its Peter Schreyer-designed sports coupe concept - the KEE_wii. The latest upgrade to KEE involves the addition of high-tech drive system that removes the need for a steering wheel and pedals

Franz Josef-Hicks, head of the Advanced Propulsion Research Institute and Laboratory at Kia Motors New Zealand, explained; ‘We have taken inspiration from current computer gaming technology to create a completely new steering and pedal system called Dynamic On-Road Kinetics. The traditional driving controls are replaced by a small ‘controller’ which fits comfortably into two hands. Making steering motions with the small controller will turn the car in whichever direction the driver likes whilst accelerator and brakes are button operated. It is a very simple and intuitive system.’ added Mr Josef-Hicks.

According to Carscoop sources, the KEE_wii dynamic control system will be available on new Kia cars on April 1 2009 and will then be optional on forthcoming generations of models as they are updated or replaced.

US Marines Ghostriding an Armed Vehicle in... Iraq!

In case you’re not familiar with the term, ghostriding
is when a driver and passengers exit a vehicle while it’s rolling uncommanded and start dancing beside it or even on it. But while that might sound just plain dumb (yes, dangerous too) if you do it on your home street in Alabama, we can’t find words to describe the actions of “Jabo”, “Gorgeous Glen” and “Twinkie” (or was that Gumbo, Jumbo and Dumbo…) who ghostrided a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected army vehicle in Iraq! Well, at least they had fun without getting hurt but we could have done without the arse show-off in the end.
